Any input would be highly appreciated. Thank you! No on has come to the rescue, probably because there's not much luck in trying to integrate Bose systems into a "custom" non-Bose solution. It does not play well with others. And judging by the fact that no regular members have posted a solution to this snce it was introduced in , I would say that you might be out of luck.

Do you need to change something on the bose system? Does anyone think that I might be able to send serial commands right to the Accoustimass Module to turn the system on, control volume etc. I'm pretty sure it's possible after reading all these posts and right now the system is useless anyway.

I've removed the original radio and replaced it with a touch screen that is connected to a computer in the back of the car. Does anyone know how I can connect the carputer to the bose amp? If the computer PC or microcontroller was doing something else at the instant that it should have been listening to the serial port, or it its input buffer has overflowed i.
For example, if the microcontroller is sending 3 variables, for 3 sensors, the PC needs to receive all three in order to act on them. This is a problem if, say, A is the right switch, B is the center switch, and C is the left switch. For example, if A can range from 0 to , and B can range from 0 to , and C can range from 0 to , perhaps you send at the beginning of each string. For example, the sending device may wait until it receives a request for data, then send one string of data, then wait for another request.
This way, the receiver knows that it will only ever have one string of data in its buffer at a time. If the microcontroller is the sender, you might make it wait like this.
